The Faroe Islands is geographically located in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean, yet it merely takes a 1-2 hour plane ride to reach the neighbouring countries of Denmark, Iceland, Norway or the United Kingdom.

Flights bound for Denmark depart several times per day, every day of the week. In addition to air service, one passenger liner and several cargo vessels arrive in and depart from the Faroe Islands several times per week.

A highly educated and competent work force occupies every branch of Faroese industry and trade.

The Faroese language is the main language. However, as early as municipal primary and lower-secondary school, Faroe islanders are also taught and instructed in both Danish and English.

The Faroe Islands has a low corporation tax at only 18%.
